We are looking collaborative and innovative professional to join our AI Innovation team at Nordea. You will oversee AI applications and models from an aggregated perspective, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant implementations. You will also maintain stakeholder alignment on AI application requirements.

This position is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working location based in Helsinki, Finland, Gdansk / Gdynia / Warsaw, Poland, Copenhagen, Denmark, or Stockholm, Sweden.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Portfolio management: Oversee AI and ML applications and models with focus on Information Security, Risk and Compliance, Operations and application functionality
- Quality assurance: Support delivery of applications according to internal and external rules and regulations through established processes and governance frameworks
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with architects, execution teams, application providers, risk managers, and internal business representatives utilizing AI services
- Technical expertise: Contribute as a subject matter expert on initiatives and projects involving application modifications while maintaining quality and integrity of AI applications and models
- Process coordination: Support application oversight activities, plan operational processes, and help align stakeholders around AI application requirements
- Impact measurement: Assess adoption, success, and impact of AI applications across the organization
Who you are
This role would be a great fit if you're passionate about AI-driven IT solutions and their value to customers. You're someone who enjoys connecting business and technology, thrives with significant responsibility, and can work in a structured, results-oriented way while coordinating multiple AI projects.
We're looking for someone with most of the following experience and skills:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or another relevant field
- 5+ years of experience guiding governance processes, risk processes, or project management, preferably in software development, AI, and/or machine learning applications
- Background in roles such as project manager, product owner, or team lead with demonstrated ability to guide cross-functional teams and complex technical initiatives
- Experience collaborating with IT Operations and IT Development, preferably related to AI/M, including production deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI applications
- Understanding of current AI trends, with ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience contributing to governance frameworks and assessment methodologies for large-scale technical implementations
It would be ideal if you also have:
- Familiarity with Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies
- Experience from agile environments or tech-driven transformations
- Professional experience working in regulated industries such as Banking, Government, etc.
- Knowledge and familiarity with EU AI Act and other relevant AI regulations
