Senior Business Analyst – Projects, Portfolio & Business Analyses (TCS)

Location: Poland (Łódź / Gdańsk) or any Nordic country (Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm or Göteborg)

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Trading & Custody Services (TCS) division at Nordea. This is a role for a true subject matter expert - someone with deep knowledge of securities and post-trade markets, a sharp eye for regulatory and structural change, and a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact initiatives. You will be at the forefront of shaping how Nordea responds to the significant wave of regulatory, market and infrastructure change set to reshape the securities industry over the coming years — from settlement discipline and custody reform to evolving market infrastructure across the Nordics and Europe.

About our team

You will join the Projects, Portfolio & Business Analyses team within Trading & Custody Services (TCS) in Nordea. We are a cross-border team of experienced Project Managers and Business Analysts driving complex regulatory, market-mandatory and strategic change initiatives across the Nordic countries. You will work closely with stakeholders across business, operations and technology and be part of a team responsible for turning major market and regulatory changes into executable projects and solutions.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Drive and own business analysis activities across regulatory and market driven projects
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and solution designs
  • Identify risks, gaps and improvement areas, including regulatory impacts
  • Perform process analysis and documentation
  • Analyze data and business flows to support decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure aligned delivery
  • Engage stakeholders across business, operations and technology
  • Support implementation of robust and compliant solutions
  • Bring industry insight and awareness of upcoming regulatory and market infrastructure developments to inform solution design and project direction

Who you are

Your background and skills include:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex, high-impact change initiatives, with substantial experience in securities and post-trade — this is a hard requirement, not a preference
  • A strong track record of leading regulatory or market-mandatory projects from analysis through to implementation
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of securities markets, post-trade processes and the evolving regulatory and market infrastructure landscape — including familiarity with developments such as settlement reform, custody regulation and Nordic/European market structure changes
  • Strong skills in requirements analysis, process analysis and data analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in cross-border environments
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership and operate as a trusted expert within a high-performing team

This role can be based in Poland (Łódź or Gdańsk) or in any of the Nordic countries (Oslo, Helsinki, Gothenburg/Göteborg or Stockholm). You will be part of the Projects, Portfolio & Business Analyses team within TCS, working closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers and senior stakeholders across Business and Technology.
