About this opportunity

 

Welcome to the Asset Services - Own Holding team. We add value by ensuring the seamless execution of income and corporate action services on proprietary holdings and securities lending.
 

As the Senior / Service Operations Officer, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, reducing operational risks, and supporting the development of new products and services. You will closely collaborate with custodians, brokers, agents, middle office, front office, and other back office teams in the value chain to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engaging in professional dialogue with customers to understand and support their needs, building positive relationships
  • Independently and collaboratively perform daily tasks and services, ensuring low operational risk and timely execution
  • Investigating, amending and matching transactions that have not settled automatically
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies between Nordea and custodian's accounting books both cash and securities (reconciliation of securities and corporate actions)
  • Creating/changing Standard Settlement Instruction
  • Facilitating global income, mandatory and voluntary corporate actions for proprietary holdings and securities lending
  • Managing market claims for proprietary holdings
  • Taking part in various projects (implementing both banking legislation and process changes)
  • Prioritizing and challenging activities to deliver top-tier service to partners and customers
  • Acting as a role model, contributing to a positive and constructive working environment
  • Proactively sharing knowledge and ideas within your value chain to continuously improve the performance of the unit

Your experience and background:

  • Strong experience in handling income and/or corporate action services will be an asset
  • Comprehensive use of Calypso environment might be useful
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced functions for data analysis and reporting
  • Professional level proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Proven ability to identify discrepancies and take timely action to minimize operational risk
  • Track record in driving process and product development for cost efficiency and outstanding execution
