Senior Sourcing Manager

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager or Senior Sourcing Manager to become part of our growing and ambitious Sourcing Team. You have strong commercial acumen, great interpersonal skills and you enjoy negotiations. Knowledge of sourcing indirect services and software is an asset, but not a requirement.

Sourcing play a key role in this exciting and challenging journey, and you will be driving a range of sourcing projects across multiple Business Units and across a range of different categories with stakeholders at all levels. You will be working as an internal consultant in a dynamic, fun and fast-paced environment with colleagues across the Nordics and Poland.

About this opportunity
 

Sourcing works closely with all Business Units within Nordea to deliver cost savings, process efficiencies and create value whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

You will be working as an internal consultant running sourcing projects in accordance with Nordea Procurement Policy and related guidelines as well as applicable laws, rules and regulations. Specifically, you will drive a wide range of procurement activities including:

  • Project management of the sourcing activity to ensure that all stakeholders understand their deliverables
  • Driving internal analyses and market analyses to determine the appropriate sourcing strategy
  • Preparing for and executing negotiations with suppliers
  • Developing tactical and strategic recommendations for project steering committees and managing stakeholders to ensure alignment with the project objectives and strategy
  • Drafting of contracts in close cooperation with our legal experts to ensure that we reduce risks and costs while increasing the value of our contracts
  • Suggesting and driving improvement activities to procurement processes and tools
  • Collaborating closely with Contract Management team and other teams/units outside of Sourcing unit

Your profile and background:

  • ​Master degree, e.g. in Law, Business, Economics, Operations, Supply Chain Management or Political/Social Science.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders on all organizational levels
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to communicate findings in a clear and structured way
  • Demonstrated result orientation and drive
  • Solid business acumen, enabling you to develop an effective sourcing strategy and influence suppliers and key stakeholders in the organization
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Experience with international roles or working in an international company with a diverse culture and daily interaction with many different nationalities will be seen as an advantage
  • Experience in Project Management and Change Management is an asset
  • Proven track record in sourcing and negotiation is an asset
