Associate Analyst to Group Finance

We are looking for a newly graduated talent to take on the role as Associate Analyst in IBOR Management, within Group Finance. You will learn and develop from a dedicated group of professionals spanning across the Nordics and Poland and ultimately become involved in Nordea’s reference rate regime, various projects and perform stakeholder analysis for Treasury and Markets. The IBOR Management team is the responsible unit for Nordea’s contribution to the Nordic reference rates. IBOR-rates are of key importance in economies and the financial market world-wide, as they globally underpin an estimated USD 350tn in volumes of contracts. In this team you will  learn the drivers of interest rate movements in different currencies by closely following the market and internal front office functions, contribute to the development of the fixing framework and learn stakeholder management both internally and externally.

 

About this opportunity

 

You will join a group where team-work and collaboration is the prerequisite for success. In IBOR Management, a part of Markets & Treasury Financial Control within Group Finance, we are responsible for the reference rate regime in Nordea. In addition, we work with project management, analysis & advisory related to profit & loss, risks, capital and benchmarking towards stakeholders in both Nordea Markets and Treasury. We seek to fill the position in Copenhagen where the team is based, in addition to Stockholm and Warsaw.

 

What you will work with:

 

  • Daily setting of Nordea’s contribution to the Nordic IBORs and other reference rates
  • Keeping up with market developments and conduct macro economic analysis on the Nordic economies
  • Taking part in improvement projects on our frameworks to ensure that they are compliant, efficient and robust
  • Participate in internal and external audits and compliance reviews
  • In addition to the management of reference rates, the role includes analysis and project work relating to Nordea’s balance sheet, risk & capital, profit & loss and performance

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

 

  • Have recently graduated with an academic degree (MSc or equivalent) in economics, finance, mathematical statistics, engineering or similar
  • Enjoy and thrive working in a team with strong collaboration
  • Have an interest in financial markets and products with a willingness to learn
  • Communicate effectively and can build good working relationships with colleagues across different units as well as with external stakeholders
  • Likely have 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Have excellent speaking and writing skills in Danish and English
  • Programming skills in e.g. SQL or Python are meriting but not a requirement
