About this opportunity


Welcome to the Group Operational Risk team. We add value by overseeing and controlling how Nordea’s first line of defence identifies and manages operational risks, in all areas of the business, globally. As the Master Expert covering tax risk you’ll play a valuable role by contributing to the assessment of tax risk and development of 2LoD oversight.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Building and developing comprehensive oversight of Nordea's 1LoD tax risk management controls
  • Understanding the tax risks facing Nordea, and assessing the efficacy of Nordea’s governance and processes in addressing these risks
  • Monitoring and controlling tax risk management, and providing advise on the adequacy, effectiveness and the regulatory compliance of Nordea’s internal rules
  • Producing high quality written reports to Nordea's senior leadership, Board of Directors, and regulators


You’ll join a team that is passionate about developing tax risk area oversight in the 2LoD. The role is any of the Nordic locations.

Your experience and background:  


  • Solid knowledge of the Nordic tax regulation with professional experience 
  • Experience or knowledge in performing risk analysis and monitoring is an advantage
  • Strong experience in communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Have excellent communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English (professional level). Candidates with Nordic language skills (especially Swedish or Danish) are preferred
