We are now looking for a (Senior) Infrastructure Engineer to join our Application Management DevOps Team in Wholesale Banking area.

About this opportunity

 

We are looking for a person having conceptual way of thinking who is eager to learn and focused on continuous high quality service delivery. You will work closely in a micro team (3 - 5 people), which is a part of Application Management department. You will have an opportunity to work independently, come up with your own ideas and be the 2nd line support between Business and Developers. A close, friendly and professional cooperation in driving projects and daily tasks is a key.

 

You will cooperate with skilled, international teams in a fast-paced and inspiring working environment, you will play an important role in supporting Wholesale Banking applications. You will be working with professional IT technologies like  RedHat Enterprise, Oracle Database, Monitoring Tools (i.e. Geneos, AppDynamics, Grafana, Influx DB, Splunk), MQ Explorer, DataStage, Oracle BI Publisher, Weblogic etc.

 

The team you will be part of is located in Gdansk, Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Application 1nd and 2nd line support
  • Deploy new versions of software
  • Participate in migration and decommissioning projects and in process automation initiatives
  • Develop and react on the warnings and alerts from monitoring system
  • Work in DevOps Team with Infrastructure, Application Operations as well as Development teams to build, implement, and control high quality applications
  • Follow ITIL processes and manage tickets in BMC Helix tool and JIRA
  • Contribute to team's Knowledge Management System, documentation
  • Manage relationships with business teams and application users

 

Your experience and background:

  • Proficiency in English B2
  • SQL knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Linux system administration (Red Hat), Admin level
  • Experience working with containerized environment (K8s/Docker)
  • Familiar with logging/monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus
  • Having a practical knowledge of ITIL as well as Scrum/Agile processes
  • Experience in GIT flow
  • Skill working with remote teams in India – Networks, Databases, System Platforms

 

Nice to have:

  • Good knowledge of orchestration engine such as Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Having scripting knowledge will be an asset (Bash, Python, PS)
  • Experience in maintaining web application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat)
  • Basic experience in Windows Server administration
  • Working with event streaming platform (Kafka, MQ)
