About this opportunity

 

Welcome to the Application Management team in Common Data Warehousing area. We are responsible for maintaining bank’s Common Data Warehousing solution using state of the art cloud solutions. We add value by providing expert application management capabilities and expertise in the data warehousing and data integration areas for many solutions in the bank based on cloud based technologies like Snowflake, and many other modern technologies. As Database Expert,  you’ll play a valuable role in taking part in an exciting and ambitious journey towards a modern, resilient target state.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create and manage all database objects
  • Maintain and Deploy application codes.
  • Hands  on Database Security Model (RBAC)
  • Work on Data Masking Implementation & Support
  • Access Management Users / Roles Management
  • Monitor warehouse / storage usage
  • Provide assistance to Users ,Mitigate performance issues
  • Restore any data within time-travel period in snowflake
  • Query Optimization for long running and impacting delivery
  • Monitoring of CDW and related Semantic Layer flows
  • Ad hoc User requests
  • Support weekly, fortnightly and monthly patch releases to production
  • Support and implement best practices for the application
  • Discussion with stakeholders and dev community in various forums educating on snowflake best practices, attending project PIR’s, QRA’s, R2R’s and CAB meetings on regular basis
  • Provide Operational support (incl. agreed on-call) for CDW & related Semantic Layer applications

You’ll join a team of experts with great experience and skills in the data ware housing and data integration area where we learn from each other and grow together as team and individuals. 

 

The team is primarily located in Gdynia / Gdańsk.

  • Are a quick learner that is interested in expanding your knowledge in the banking domain and all areas of software development.
  • Should be expert in Snowflake Administration with Python knowledge
  • Have experience in SQL Query optimization
  • Have experience within databases(snowflake)
  • Code deployments knowledge of Git hub and bitbucket, Jira.
  • Handle all P2/P3 CDW Production issues/incidents/WO’s/CR tasks with zero escalations

 

Your experience and background:

  • Professional experience working in Data Warehousing domain
  • Professional experience working on Snowflake or as a DBA for relational databases
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • A degree in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems
