About this opportunity
Welcome to the Application Management team. We add value by competence in CI/CD Tools offering Nordea Business new functionality. As the IT Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll play a valuable role in have an opportunity to work independently, come up with your own ideas and be the 2nd line support between Business and Developers. A close, friendly and professional cooperation in driving projects and daily tasks is a key.
What you’ll be doing:
Working with skilled, international teams in a fast-paced and inspiring working environment. You will be independent in taking decision, arranging meetings with Developers (agreeing deploy schedule) and Business, and managing environments in Preprod and Prod, as well as support them. You will be working with professional IT technologies like Linux RedHat Enterprise, Kubernetes, Oracle Database, Monitoring Tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Sysdig) etc.
Your experience and background:
We are looking for an experienced IT banking systems engineer with Linux and SQL strong background best with 3-4y experience at minimum. We call it Junior DevOps as there is still many to learn in this area. You’ll join a team working 4 days remotely, Thursdays onsite. The role is based in Gdańsk.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have experience in version control system (Git)
- Ansible
- Are proficient in English B2
- Are good at Linux system administration (Red Hat), Admin Level
- Have Oracle SQL knowledge (Oracle/PLSQL)
- Have knowledge of ITIL processes (experience in ITIL based ticketing tools is an asset)
- Have skill working with remote teams in India – Networks, Databases, System Platforms
Nice to have:
- Good knowledge of orchestration engine such as Ansible and Bamboo
- Scripting knowledge will be an asset (Bash, Python)
- Have experience in JIRA or any other KANBAN based tools
- We use ESP and Kubernetes to host Docker based Production machines
- Have knowledge of how to prepare a good documentation, knowledge base (Confluence)
- Kafka
- Basic Windows 10 client and Server 2019 system knowledge
