In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional delivery across AWS cloud foundations, AI platform capabilities, security, data and engineering. Together, we impact millions of people’s daily lives by ensuring they can access our solutions anytime, anywhere, while safeguarding their personal data and wealth. Join us in making an impact on the banking industry.
About our team
Core Technology Change & Delivery team is responsible for the Project & Programme management, the delivery & execution and governance of our Change Initiatives to ensure we meet our commitments in adherence to our Core Tech Operating Model and according to Nordea Delivery Guide.

- Establish and maintain delivery plans covering milestones, dependencies, resources, financials, risks and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate delivery across cloud engineering, architecture, security, identity and access management, network, data, platform engineering and business teams.
- Drive the evolution of AWS cloud foundations required for scalable AI adoption, including landing-zone capabilities, deployment pipelines, runtime environments, connectivity and platform resilience.
- Enable reusable AWS AI services and platform components that support multiple AI use cases and teams across the organisation.
- Ensure alignment between business needs, AI use cases, platform capabilities, enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Facilitate governance and approval processes in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements and Nordea’s delivery framework.
- Establish clear decision-making forums, delivery standards, operating models and reporting practices.
- Proactively manage delivery risks, issues and cross-domain dependencies, escalating when required to maintain predictable execution.
- Drive operational readiness, including support models, service ownership, resilience, security, cost management and transition to operations.
- Engage senior stakeholders and provide concise, decision-oriented updates on delivery status, risks, financials and required actions.
- Promote a strong delivery culture based on ownership, transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Who you are
Collaborator. Owner. Passionate. Courageous. Influencer. Thinker. Communicator. These are the values that guide us in being our best and that we imagine you share with us, as well as an ability to challenge, bring diverse stakeholders together to propose solutions, and assess risk.
Your background and skills include:
- Proven track record of leading complex technology programmes in AWS Cloud environments.
- Strong experience in AWS platform governance, cloud operating models, landing-zone implementation and platform evolution.
- Ability to scope, drive and govern AWS AI platform initiatives that provide reusable capabilities for scalable AI adoption.
- Experience leading delivery of AWS-native AI, machine learning and data services, with a clear understanding of how platform capabilities enable business use cases.
- Strong understanding of AI enablement platforms, including Generative AI, large language models, agentic or orchestration frameworks and model lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating delivery across architecture, cloud engineering, security, identity and access management, network, data and platform teams.
- Ability to translate AI and AWS platform roadmaps into executable programmes, milestones and delivery plans.
- Strong understanding of platform-oriented delivery, including shared services, reusable components, automated onboarding and self-service capabilities.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, delivery standards and operating models for large-scale cloud transformations.
- Understanding of cloud security, resilience, scalability, operational excellence and cost-management principles.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders, facilitate decisions and influence cross-functional teams.
- Very good financial, resource, risk and dependency-management skills.
- Very good analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations and actions.
- Advanced presentation and reporting skills, particularly using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring clarity in both written and verbal communication.
- Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
- A proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented attitude.
The role is specifically positioned around Nordea’s AWS AI platform rather than generic multi-cloud delivery. This is consistent with the planned AWS capabilities for enterprise-scale AI adoption and the current focus on a governed, scalable platform supporting AWS ecosystems.
