We are looking for a Pega Lead System Architect to join our Corporate Loans team. In this role, you will lead the technical design and implementation of Pega-based solutions supporting loan origination, loan servicing, and the corporate lending lifecycle.

About this opportunity 

 

You will join an engineering team within the Corporate Loans Service Domain working with different lending systems. In the team we designs and delivers large-scale Pega solutions in close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Architects, and experienced Pega engineers. With us you will be part of a diverse and inclusive team with real architectural ownership in large‑scale corporate banking transformation, within a culture that values performance, learning, and continuous growth.

 

You will work alongside our Pega Architects and collaborate with a wider architecture community across Nordea, giving you strong visibility and influence beyond a single application.You will act as the technical expert for the team, setting the development direction, ensuring scalability and quality, and guiding teams through complex design decisions.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the system design and development of Pega-based solutions supporting corporate lending.
  • Own technical direction and architectural decisions together with our Pega governance in Nordea.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and compliance with enterprise standards and governance.
  • Design and govern integration patterns with internal and external systems.
  • Drive best practices in architecture, quality, and delivery following Nordea target architectures
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other System Architects and development teams.
  • Act as the main escalation point for complex technical challenges.
  • Contribute to the inclusive team culture based on trust, shared ownership, and sustainable ways of working.

 

We follow hybrid model of working. Your future team sits in Gdansk and Łódź ,and leader is based in Copenhagen. We welcome Poland based applicants to apply. 

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you:

  • Have at least 5 years of relevant IT work experience
  • Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA)
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade Pega solutions
  • Strong understanding of Pega architecture, integration patterns, and performance considerations
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder, international environments
  • Confidence to take ownership and drive architectural decisions end-to-end
  • Fluency in English
  • Are looking for regular employment contract and not B2B

 

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Experience in corporate lending, credit origination, or loan servicing
  • Exposure to financial services or other regulated industries
  • Integrating Pega solution with GenAI and Pega Blueprint experience
