We are looking for a Senior IT Analyst to work on global and large scale initiatives in Nordea. This is an opportunity for you to join a team of requirement engineering specialists who contribute to the success of key initiatives and projects in Nordea.
Your main responsibility is to bring value to our business partners and customers in the International Corporate Branches area, supporting the Payments team, applications and customers.

About our team
Meet the Application Management team in International Corporate Branches (ICB) Technology. We add value by providing a fit-for-purpose analysis to design innovative solutions to create great customer experiences. As the Senior IT Analyst, you’ll play a valuable role in actively contributing to the collaboration between business and IT, and drive requirement engineering work in ICB Hub. ICB Technology is a newly established Technology Area in Nordea Technology with the purpose to deliver technology services to our business stakeholders but also drive the business process automation agenda. Our team is a unique combination of different skillsets. Some are more technically-oriented to work with sophisticated data diagrams and others have stronger facilitating skills for coaching. You’ll join a team where people are the most important and work is not only a place to go.
What you'll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Cooperating with multiple stakeholders (developers, QAs, business in alignment with the target picture to enable sustainable solutions)
- Eliciting requirements (functional and non-functional requirements) by cooperating with different stakeholders e.g. architects, developers, testers, business, UX
- Securing requirements traceability during smooth end-to-end development
- Being responsible for requirements documentation (inc. use cases) and quality improvement
- Supporting testers and developers in the team
The role is based in Gdansk, Poland, with hybrid model of working. This is a permanent full-time role, and preferred starting time is between February and April 2026. Please indicate your local work permit in the CV.
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Have strong business and technical background, and great analytical and requirement specification skills (functional and non-functional)
- Have strong experience with IBMi (AS-400)/Cobol application development and support
- Are self-driven, team player, with very good communication and collaboration skills
- Are proactive, detail-oriented and quality driven
- Are familiar with Agile way of working and methods (SAFe, Scrum, XP, Kanban)
Your background and skills include:
- Experience in IT and/or business analysis
- Experience in working in IT industry
- Experience of using Jira, Confluence and Postman
- Experience working with IBMi (AS-400)/Cobol
- Experience working with Core Banking systems or
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, and familiar with international collaboration
- Experience of using Jira, Confluence Experience in working in IT industry
It would be ideal if you also have:
- Experience or knowledge of API development, Data Mapping and Process Modelling
- Knowledge of the banking sector and payment domain, or at least the financial sector (sure an advantage but not required)
- Practical knowledge of SQL, user interface prototyping and design
- Experience or knowledge of APIs, Data Mapping, Data Migration and Process Modelling
