We are looking for a Java developer to grow our team developing components powering one of core processes in the trading business - Safekeeping. This is a permanent and full-time position, on-site with home-office opportunity up to 50% of days.

About our team 

 

Meet the Safekeeping and Corporate Actions Development team. Our role is to develop and modernize integrations of our modern Safekeeping & Corporate Action system with the rest of the bank’s IT landscape. The application is a central piece of Nordea’s trading lifecycle and supports corporate actions and safekeeping parts of trade lifecycle. The Safekeeping system is a vendor solution. Our team’s main focus is on microservices surrounding the Safekeeping solution, which are connected in decoupled way (Kafka, MQ, REST services, API Gateway) with the Safekeeping system and other Nordea systems. Responsibilities for this position include both maintenance and development of multiple integration components. Currently our project contains around 20 microservices and we introduce 1-2 new services each year.

 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Building and enhancing logic of integration components connecting Safekeeping system with other Nordea systems
  • Developing of supporting logic expanding capabilities of the Safekeeping system
  • Be an active contributor in the Scrum team voicing out opinions and ideas
  • Taking care of quality of provided solution and applying technical improvements

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you are fluent in Java, SQL, and English; and have at least 5 years’ experience as a software developer in large scale enterprises and would like to work with integrations services based on Kafka and MQ. And you own problems whether you know the solution or not – if the latter, you are not afraid to ask questions and seek answers. Finally, you have a sense of humour and strive in multinational environment.
