The role is ~50% hands-on technical work in Application Management and ~50% leadership.

About this opportunity


As Capability Team Leader for Payments Data Application Management, you’ll play a valuable role in leading an operations and support team, internals as well as consultants. You will provide the strategic oversight, direction and deep technical understanding of how operate, optimize and automate our  data pipelines – Batch (classic ETL/ELT) as well as streaming / event based (Kafka).


You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to operate, monitor, deploy, automate, and scale our applications and systems effectively. You will help us support our users, developers and our DataOps / BizDevOps journey, to ensure we are geared towards high quality and low cycle-time and that our customers are our first priority.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Managing a team of Payments Data Application Management internal employees and external consultants, while being a technical mentor and perform competence development and knowledge sharing within your capability
  • Release deployment, verification and follow-up and Incident investigations and management
  • Application provider, governance and compliance
  • Operate and monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability 
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment and release processes
  • Automate monitoring and reconciliation
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate DataOps/ BizDevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle and to enhance collaboration, automation, and efficiency across the organization
  • Working closely with development teams to help support our Nordea BizDevOps ambitions with architects and hardware/infrastructure engineers within Nordea

 

The role is based in Gdansk, Warsaw, Copenhagen or Helsinki.

  • Passion about DevOps and Automation


Your experience and background:  

  • Multiple years’ experience within application management/operations/monitoring
  • 5+ years’ experience in DW, BI & analytics within engineering, test, development or architecture
  • Some team/technical leader experience preferred
  • Data / Software Engineering skills (Java/Scala/Python, SQL)
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment experience, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Ansible, GIT/Bitbucket
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana or similar
