We are looking for a (Senior) IT Security Specialist to join Security Approvals Team in Cyber Security Governance (both regular and senior positions will be considered). This is an opportunity for you to grow within a team of passionate professionals and enhance IT security by ensuring that the Nordea security standards are fulfilled.
 

About this opportunity

 

You’ll join Security Approvals Team where we take part in ensuring compliance, shaping security services and security awareness among the whole organization by assessing change requests concerning network infrastructure.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assessing and approving selected scope of change requests related to Nordea infrastructure, platforms and applications from the security compliance perspective (e.g. firewall openings, proxy and email whitelisting, AD group membership);

  • Ensuring clear communication and satisfactory experience to stakeholders;

  • Representing the team and providing relevant stakeholders with a better understanding of security requirements to raise awareness of IT security matters;

  • Assisting in development, design and implementation of compliant IT security systems and services in the Infrastructure and Operations area to support high security level in IT environments;

  • Assisting in development of IT security standards and ensuring that such standards are translated into technical security requirements that are implemented in the production systems to improve security.

The role is based in Gdynia or Warsaw. Welcome to a team of professionals where you will stand as a gatekeeper of Nordea security.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

  • Good understanding of IP networks and protocols, firewalls and proxies;

  • Solid knowledge and experience within IT security area (security certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+/Network+/CASP+ will be an advantage);

  • Experience/understanding of security related policies, documentation, procedures, industry standards and best practices (such as: ISO, ISF, NIST) will be an advantage;

  • Knowledge/experience in Zero Trust Security model/concept will be an advantage;

  • Experience in Change Management processes and tools will be an advantage;

  • Ability to explain technical terms to non-technical individuals;

  • Ability to gather information from different sources and connect the dots;

  • Self-driven and open-minded individual with “can-do” attitude and good communication skills;

  • Good business and technical English (both written and spoken);

  • Resiliency, assertiveness and readiness to say “no”, when people expect you to say “yes”.
