About our team
Meet the Data Tooling team. Our role is to automate daily development processes on Nordea’s next generation Hybrid Big Data Platform.
This role is based in Gdańsk/Gdynia, Warsaw or Łódź. Our team is implementing our next generation Hybrid Big Data Platform to enable our business to run several data use cases, such as Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Financial Crime Intelligence and more. We shorten time-to-market by simplifying and transforming our IT landscape.
Our technology stack includes, but is not limited to: scala, java, python, groovy, SQL, HQL, Hadoop, K8s, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform & more.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer capable of identifying and implementing improvements to our DevOps Setup in various Data Area projects
As a Big Data DevOps, you will play a valuable role in widening company data lake by:
- Developing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
- Automating daily development processes
- Cooperating with other roles like DEVs, QAs, BAs, PMs and POs
- Taking care of shared infrastructure
- Participating in Agile ceremonies (we use SAFe approach)
- Finding, analysing and preparing assessment of new technologies

Your background and skills include:
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment: Jenkins
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
- Configuration Management: Ansible
- Programming: Groovy, Python, Bash or any other scripting language
- Version Control: Git, Bitbucket
- Big Data: Hadoop
It would be ideal if you also know:
- IaC: Terraform
- Cloud: AWS
- Other tools: Confluence, JIRA, Splunk, Sysdig, Grafana, Artifactory, Kafka, SonarQube
