About our team 


Meet the Securities Software Development team. Our role is to build a high quality trading platform for Nordea’s clients.


Our team is building a high quality trading platform for Nordea’s clients. We contribute to a variety of projects related to settlement and safekeeping of securities. We’re looking for developers to work on the NEXT program which will be focusing on developing adapters, layers needed from the decoupling perspective between legacy and strategic applications at Nordea. Our modern Safekeeping & Corpotate Action system belongs to those strategic applications. 


Our technology stack includes, but is not limited to: Java, Kafka, Docker, MQ, REST, gRPC, FPML, XML, Atlassian. We are looking for a Java Developer to develop and expand data integration solutions. 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing new solutions & implementing new features
  • Integration with Kafka based communication layer
  • Contributing to architecture & design decisions
  • Maintaining and developing deployments scripts
  • Providing code reviews  

 

Who you are


This is the right role for you if you are fluent in English, Java, and SQL, if you encounter a problem, you run with it. You are not afraid to ask questions…but you are also eager to provide answers. You have a sense of humor and inner drive to grow your skills.

 

Your background and skills include: 
Technical skills:

  • Experience in building software for large enterprises
  • Java, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle
  • Microservices, REST
  • Following good coding and design practices
  • Writing automated tests

 

Personal skills:

  • Analytical thinking
  • Good communication skills
  • Structured, knows how to break complex problems into smaller tasks
  • Flexible to change priority, support production issues

 

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Experience working with messaging systems: Kafka and MQ (event-driven architecture)
  • Self-sufficient in setting up development environment and using CI/CD tooling like Docker, Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, JIRA (or other similar)
