We are now looking for a Storage Engineer to help to operate and maintain Nordeas storage infrastructure, and participate in projects going forward.

You will become a member of the team in Infrastructure Engineering that manages a highly complex technology platform. We deliver on IT infrastructure projects, as well as significant IT investments including vendor relationships, plans for the maintenance and enhancement of operating systems, and the development of active monitoring of trends and focused on IT infrastructure enhancements and risks.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Storage team. We add value by running different kind of storage system and virtualisation across Nordea’s Infrastructure platforms, the two current main vendors are IBM and Hitachi Vantara. As a Storage Engineer, you will play a valuable role as contributing to both daily operations and to project. It is very important that you are a team player, open minded for new challenges, as there are not two days there a look alike.

What you will be doing:

• Engineering in leading edge storage technologies, testing out latest technologies with industry leading vendors

• Project work

• Daily operations

You will be a part of a 10 person team, The role is based either in Copenhagen or Gdynia with a balance between working from home and from office that can be adjusted on an individual basis.

Your experience and background:

• Experience from Unix, Linux, Storage and virtual storage

• Knowledge about Hitachi storage, Hitachi HNAS (or similar services) and IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC)

• Knowledge about Brocade SAN-switches, and possibly Cisco MDS SAN-switches

• General technical knowledge

• Good communication skills

• Team player, open minded, curious, want to go the extra mile when it is needed
