About our team 


Meet the Open Banking Hub team. We in Open Banking are designing , developing and delivering PSD2 RTS Compliance and Premium APIs. APIs mocks are initially exposed to external Developers in the Nordea Developer Portal and Sandbox environment. APIs are thereafter implemented with integration to live customer data and exposed thru the IBM API Connect infrastructure to on-boarded Partners and PSD2 Licensed Third-Party-Providers.

 

Our team is a highly collaborative and supportive group of professionals who put the quality of deliverables at the highest. We assure high quality of releases and business features. We are experienced and skilled QA Engineers, ensuring the highest possible degree of test coverage and test automation. Our role in the hub is to ensure faultless changes to production through a culture of quality assurance embedded into the software development lifecycle. We drive for continuous quality improvements as well as rigorous validation and performance governance.

 

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will join one of our scrum teams and will proactively ensure that all testing and test automation activities are planned, executed and reported in compliance with Nordea QA procedures and standards. 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with developers, analysts in the scrum team
  • Working with other QA Engineers and other stakeholders
  • Testing Restful APIs and our platform
  • Analysing requirements from testing point of view
  • Gathering and managing test data needed for testing
  • Creating and executing test cases
  • Providing and reporting testing results
  • Automating test cases in Python and Robot Framework Automation
  • Proactively driving improvements to our automated test framework and increasing test coverage

 

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have ability to drive QA activities across the delivery team
  • Are willing to constantly improve your competences in test automation
  • Have good communication skills to drive automation focus also among other team members
  • Have test automation experience or willingness to grow your competences in this area
  • Have general testing knowledge to the ISTQB Foundation Level

 

Your background and skills include experience in: 

  • Knowledge of QA processes (both manual and automated)
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Hands-on test automation experience in any of following domains: service-based level (REST), GUI based (Web)
  • Programming skills in Python
  • Knowledge of Robot Framework
  • Fluent in using GIT
  • Skills with data manipulation using various data formats (e.g. JSON, XML, CSV)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and developers tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, k8s) will be an asset
  • Experience in Agile ways of working
