About this opportunity


Welcome to the N-Core Development - B team. We add value by building a new core banking system for Nordea. As BigData Developer, you’ll play a valuable role in that process, securing integration and reporting areas as well as having direct contributions with cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and operate on large-scale data infrastructure (performance, reliability, monitoring).
  • Leverage Spark to enrich and transform corporate data to enable searching, data visualization, and advanced analytics.
  • Identify bottlenecks/bugs and devise solutions to these problems. We are improving the efficiency of existing processes and systems. 
  • Ensure the best possible quality and responsiveness of the applications.
  • Cooperation with internal/external stakeholders to implement the best possible solutions.

Your experience and background: 

  • Proficient in Hadoop Big Data stack (HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Yarn) and SQL Query writing.
  • Experience in working on Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarize yourself with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Understanding of data standards like XML, JSON, Avro, Parquet.
  • Experience with Kafka streaming platform and schema registry concept.
  • Code versioning tools, such as GIT, Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Atlassian stack.
  • English required, at least B2/B2+ level.

 

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with cloud and container technologies.
  • Integration towards RESTful and SOAP/OSB-services.
  • Agile/SAFe methodology experience.
