Welcome to the Capability Area Data Engineering. We add value by building distributed and highly parallelized data processing pipelines which process a massive amount of data. We leverage Scala and Spark to enrich and transform corporate data to enable searching, data visualization and advanced analytics. As the (Chief) Data Engineer, you will play a valuable role in creating high-performing, flexible, robust, scalable and easily maintainable global reporting solution for the Bank.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building distributed and highly parallelized big data processing pipeline which process massive amount of data (both structured and unstructured data) in near real-time
- Leveraging Spark to enrich and transform corporate data to enable searching, data visualization and advanced analytics
- Working closely with analysts and business stakeholders to develop analytics models
- Continuous delivery on Hadoop and other Big Data Platforms
- Automating processes where possible and are repeatable and reliable
- Working closely with QA team

Your experience and background:
- Experience working in Agile methodologies
- Unit testing experience with framework ScalaTest or similar
- Programming experience with Scala or Java and willingness to learn Scala
- Experience with distributed data processing engines like Spark
As an advantage, familiarity with one or more of the below technologies:
- Robot Framework
- Atlassian Suite: Confluence, JIRA
- Hadoop ecosystem (sqoop, oozie, etc.)
