About this opportunity

Welcome to the Open Banking Software Development team. 

As the leader, you’ll be responsible for managing one of our software development capabilities. In addition to your leadership role, you will be involved in the practical work where you can contribute your ideas to the whole development area, leading new initiatives and creating new business opportunities in close cooperation with our business partners.  

The position is based in Gdansk or Gdynia, Poland.

What you will be doing

  • Leading a team of software development experts - both internal employees and external consultants
  • Be hands-on and actively involved with software development activities
  • Serving as a member of the Open Banking Software Development Leadership Team
  • Carry out line manager responsibilities. E.g. Recruitment, performance reviews, career discussions, pay reviews etc.
  • Support the day-to-day development of the Software Development solution activities working closely with execution leads
  • Collaborate closely with the service domain architects on technology and architecture artifacts
  • Establish and maintain strong partnership relations with stakeholders across the IT domain
  • Participate in PI planning and various agile ceremonies
  • Work with partners in sourcing external developers based on demand

  • Familiar with the latest trends and continuously seeks to stay ahead of the curve 
  • Confident speaking in English at all levels of seniority, including participating in cross-organisation developer forums
  • Positive attitude to your work and confident in navigating any challenges
  • Flexible, solution orientated and with a problem-solving mentality especially working across the IT domain

 

Your technical background:

  • Several years' experience working with technologies such as
  • Java, PHP, Restful API, Spring, Spring Boot, etc.
  • Angular, React, etc.
  • Confident and can happily navigate around technologies such as
  • Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes , Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube , etc.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or similar background
