AI Operating Model Design Senior Analyst
Helsinki, FI, 00500 Tallinn, EE, 11415 Stockholm, SE, 111 44
Job ID: 3374
Join our AI programme and play a pivotal role in ensuring AI becomes a sustainable, scalable, and value‑generating capability across GFCP.
We are looking for an AI Operating Model & Portfolio Enablement Lead to bridge the critical gap between AI model implementation and long‑term operational delivery.
This role is essential to ensuring AI initiatives transition from successful deployments into clear ownership, embedded ways of working, measurable value, and organisation‑wide adoption. This is a hands-on role. It does not own prioritisation decisions or domain delivery, but it is accountable for ensuring that operating model design, governance structures, and portfolio inputs are coherent, structured, and decision ready.
The successful candidate must be comfortable operating with limited direction, structuring ambiguity into clear frameworks, and influencing senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
This role requires demonstrable experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models (TOM) within regulated financial services environments, ideally within Financial Crime and AI/analytics programmes. The candidate must have personally led the creation of TOM artefacts including governance frameworks, RACI models, lifecycle handovers, and operational accountability structures.
About our team
Our vision is to “Detect and disrupt ever-evolving financial crime threats, through innovation in machine and human-led intelligence”
Our AI programme accelerates AI adoption from bottom to top across the organisation, spanning technology delivery, business enablement, workforce readiness, and value realisation. We work across GFCP, partnering with Technology, Business, Risk, Compliance, and Change teams to ensure AI solutions are not only built, but understood, adopted, governed, and sustained.
Collaboration, ownership, passion, and courage guide how we work and how we make decisions.
In this role, you will definition and transition of the future AI operating model once core AI models are deployed. You will connect AI model delivery with organisational design, workforce enablement, portfolio governance, and adoption mechanisms, ensuring AI becomes part of day‑to‑day operations rather than remaining a series of isolated initiatives.
You will also run the AI portfolio and prioritisation enablement process, ensuring inputs across domains are coherent, comparable, dependency‑aware, and decision‑ready. You will not own business case approvals or prioritisation decisions, but you will ensure that all portfolio submissions meet agreed structural, dependency, and governance standards before entering decision forums.
This includes validating scope clarity, benefit logic alignment, ownership accountability, and dependency mapping, not performing financial modelling or domain benefit estimation
This role acts as the integrating layer across AI adoption workstreams, aligning operating model design with workforce readiness, incentives, communications, and partnerships.
What you’ll be doing
Future Operating Model & Organisational Enablement
- Drive definition of the future AI operating model at GFCP level once key AI models (e.g. TM AI, KYC AI) are deployed
- Define and clarify organisational structures, ownership, and accountability for operating AI at scale
- Build shared understanding of AI ways of working, including roles, decision rights, and handovers between technology, business, and change
- Connect AI model lifecycle with sustainable operational ownership
- Ensure portfolio inputs meet defined structural standards, without replacing domain ownership or strategic prioritisation authority
- Define and maintain portfolio intake standards, ensuring submissions are dependency-aware, benefit-aligned, and governance-compliant before executive review
Portfolio & Prioritisation Enablement
- Run the AI portfolio and prioritisation process, including collating inputs, surfacing cross domain dependencies, and preparing materials for decision forums
- Ensure consistency, comparability, and decision readiness of inputs across domains (e.g. aligned benefit assessments, clear scope and dependencies)
- Support prioritisation of new AI use cases by “kicking the tires” from a portfolio and dependency perspective — ensuring proposals are coherent and usable
Adoption, Ways of Working & Enablement - Support the build out of AI adoption structures, including networks, playbooks, and common ways of working across business areas
- Help embed AI literacy, workforce alignment, and ownership models into the operating model
- Ensure adoption mechanisms (e.g. metrics, incentives, governance forums) are aligned to how AI is actually operated
- Connect adoption metrics and value signals with operating model design and leadership decision making
This role directly supports our commitment to delivering measurable, compliant, and scalable AI value, ensuring the operating model moves from design into sustainable operational reality.
Who you are
You are comfortable operating at the intersection of technology, organisation, and strategy. You naturally think in systems, dependencies, and operating models — and you enjoy turning complexity into clarity.
You are pragmatic, structured, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders, while remaining hands‑on in shaping frameworks, artefacts, and decision inputs.
Your experience and background
- Proven experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models within large financial services or Financial Crime environments, including governance structures, RACI frameworks, lifecycle handovers, and operational embedding at scale
- Strong working knowledge of Financial Crime operating environments (Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Sanctions), including regulatory accountability, control frameworks, and supervisory expectations.
- Experience translating technology or AI solutions into operating models, ownership structures, and day‑to‑day operations
- Experience running portfolio, intake, or prioritisation enablement processes
- Ability to assess and challenge inputs from a cross‑domain and operating model perspective without replacing domain ownership
- Demonstrated ability to independently design frameworks and artefacts without reliance on external consultants or predefined templates
- Experience operating in matrix organisations where influence must be exercised through structured logic rather than formal hierarchy
- Strong analytical and structuring skills, with the ability to make inputs comparable and decision‑ready
- Experience working across business, technology, risk, compliance, and change functions
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory
