Analyst - Data Business Support Team
Helsinki, FI, 00500 Warszawa, PL, 02-460 Łódź, PL, 93-281
Job ID: 4375
Would you like to work with the running, development, and modernisation of one of Nordea’s largest and most business-critical data assets: Market Data?
We are looking for an Analyst for the Data Business Support team – someone who will play a key role not only in supporting market data delivery across the “Markets and Traded Products” value chain, but also in actively driving our automation and optimisation journey. This is an opportunity for you to contribute to the transformation of how we manage, scale, and deliver market data by leveraging modern technologies and AI.
You will work alongside a team of skilled market data professionals and take part in shaping how we evolve from traditional operational processes to more automated, scalable, and intelligent solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine operational responsibilities with hands-on involvement in modernisation initiatives.
About our team
In the Data Business Support team, we add value by providing and supporting end consumers with critical data across Markets, Wealth Management, Risk, Compliance, and Finance. We are responsible for ensuring timely and compliant licensed data flows through the value chain, across front-to-back business processes.
At the same time, we are on a clear journey to modernise how we operate — reducing manual processes, increasing scalability, and leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency and quality.
As the Analyst, you will play a dual role:
- Supporting the team’s daily operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Contributing directly to our automation and process optimisation initiatives
You will be working in a fun and fast-paced environment with colleagues across the Nordics and Poland. Attention to detail, curiosity, and a strong interest in improving how things are done are key qualities to succeed in this role.
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and make decisions — and that we imagine you share with us.
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Providing first-line support to consumers
- Assisting with user support, order handling, and permissioning (e.g., through DACS, EMRS, etc.)
- Supporting reporting activities (suppliers, entitlement systems, and ad hoc business reports)
- Helping with license inventory and entitlement system administration
- Assisting with portal and exchange administration
- Participating in projects and team improvement initiatives
In addition, you will play an important role in our modernisation journey:
- Identifying opportunities to standardise, simplify, and automate existing processes
- Designing and implementing automation solutions using AI and modern tooling
- Contributing to the development of scalable workflows and data processes
- Helping transition manual operational tasks into efficient, technology-driven solutions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes and enable smarter ways of working
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Are motivated by both operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Are curious about how processes can be improved, simplified, and automated
- Take ownership and enjoy turning ideas into practical solutions
- Are self-driven, structured, and committed to delivering value to the business
- Enjoy hands-on work while also thinking about how to do things better and smarter
Your background and skills include:
- Have a genuine interest in learning and developing your skills in a supportive environment
- Pay close attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture
- Are proactive in identifying improvement opportunities
- Have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working with others to drive change
- Are motivated by being part of a transformation and automation journey
Your background and skills also include:
- The ideal candidate is early in their career and has a strong interest in working with data, ideally within the Market Data domain, combined with a passion for automation and modern technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, IT, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience
- Basic understanding of financial products and markets
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Interest in AI technologies and their practical application in automating data workflows
- IT fundamentals, including basic programming concepts
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, integration workflows, and lightweight analytical solutions
- Hands-on experience working with APIs (REST preferred)
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power BI and Power Automate
- Ability to combine tools and technologies to create scalable, efficient, and robust solutions
