We are looking for a full-time senior Android developer with strong Jetpack compose and MVVM design experience. In this position you will help to shape the next generation of mobile bank applications for Nordea’s private and corporate customers. About our team

Meet the Cards delivery team Ukko in Group Digital. Our role is to create end to end card services. We make everything from integration layer (NDF) services to frontend, including web, iOS and Android clients. Our services cover lifetime card features in self-service channels, like viewing their pin code, changing card settings, disputing transactions and such. We are currently 12 people located in Vallila office in Helsinki.

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role:

• Design, create and improve Nordea’s Android mobile bank application
• You will be a key member in one of our scrum teams
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure best practices in coding and security
• You are expected to take ownership of the code in your service area and ensure quality of the implementation, including test automation
• Take the customer needs and together with business drive the best solution, where your engineering input is very important to finding right solution
• Participating in our technology communities - dev days, innovation sprints and much more
• Closely collaborate with other developers, test specialists, architects, service designers and business stackeholders

Depending on your interest and skills, you can do contributions to the frontend & backend sides. We are end-to-end team on all platforms.

This role is based in Helsinki

Who you are 

This is the right role for you if you are enthusiast about coding, quality and creating new features. You want to take an ownership of larger entities, and you take pride in the deliveries you make.

Your background and skills include:

• Several years of experience in Android application development and proven deliveries in larger projects
• Fluent coding with Kotlin and Jetpack, while using MVVM design pattern.
• Creating and keeping JUnit tests updated.
• Experience on unit and automated UI tests

It would be ideal if you also:

•  Able to understand iOS and web frontend (Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript), because it helps you to get our platforms aligned
