We are looking for a talent to join the Liquidity Management team in Group Treasury in a full-time position.

Meet the Liquidity Management team. Our role is often described as the heart of the bank. We deliver cost-efficient and stable short term funding paired with risk and liquidity management. We ensure that Nordea always can offer and provide our customers the services they need and we keep our customers assets safe.

Our team is responsible for Nordea’s centralized liquidity management & related risk management. This includes interest rate risk in the banking book across currencies and legal entities, intra-day and operational liquidity as well as regulatory and internal liquidity risk metrics such as LCR and NSFR.

What you’ll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role: 

• Manage the day-to-day liquidity, Central Bank activities, Foreign account management, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest rate (IR) related risk for the Nordea Group
• Secure diversified, stable and cost-efficient short term funding
• Advise Business Areas on funding & liquidity related questions/issues, thereby enabling support to Nordea and it’s customers
• Manage Liquidity Metrics (LCR, NSFR etc.) effectively
• Proactively develop the processes, capabilities and efficiency of Group Treasury and Liquidity Management by utilizing data, technology and analytical tools

• Strong interest in financial markets
• An excellent team player, willing to help team members on a wide array of responsibilities
• Self-driven and possess the mindset to develop and constantly improve your skills and competencies as well as the processes and capabilities of your unit

Your background and skills include: 

• A Master’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, mathematics or economics
• Excellent English (Finnish is also considered a merit) language skills, both written and spoken
• Very good analytical skills, including knowledge of extracting and modelling of financial data
• Ability and willingness to work with data & technology. Experience in programming languages such as SQL or Python
• A few years’ experience within relevant fields; bank liquidity, trading or funding is seen as a strong merit but not a prerequisite
