About our team
Nordea Investment Banking Corporate Finance & ECM is a leading financial advisor in the Nordic region. We offer advice to our clients in relation to public and private mergers & acquisitions (M&A) as well as initial public offerings and other equity-related transactions (ECM). Our solid deal experience and track-record coupled with the unmatched financial strength of the bank allows us to offer our clients a unique full-service proposition encompassing both advise and financing. Our pan-Nordic setup currently consists of approximately 100 employees across our offices in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo.
As an Associate you will from day one become an integral part of the team and get the opportunity to work with some of the largest and most exciting deals in the Nordic region. The setup of our project teams allows for increased accountability, responsibility and visibility. Main responsibilities in this role:
- Perform analysis on financial and commercial information as well as prepare insightful recommendations
- Conduct financial modelling and company valuation to understand company specific characteristics and opportunities, as well as understanding its market, peers, competitors etc.
- Create high quality meeting material and present to clients in a professional way
- Ensure delivery of critical parts of some of the largest and most meaningful transactions in the Nordics
- Closely interact with other Nordea teams, external stakeholders and clients
The role is based in Helsinki.
Who you are

- Are creative in coming up with relevant and novel ideas whilst being resourceful and diligent in your work

- Contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with both team members and clients
Your background and skills include:
- 2-5 years of experience within corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, management consulting or equivalent (we consider full-time and internship experience)
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Engineering or similar
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Fluent in Finnish and English, other Nordic languages are a plus
