We are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps Lead with strong cloud financial management background in either AWS (preferred) or Azure public cloud environments to join our team.

Welcome to the Cloud Team, a part of Infrastructure Engineering. We add value by enabling capabilities in public cloud and transforming the way infrastructure services are consumed. As the Cloud FinOps Lead, you’ll play a valuable role in defining and executing on the banks cloud strategy with regards to financial and banking operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the implementation of Cloud FinOps practices and continuous improvements
• Promote Cloud FinOps best practice by sponsoring awareness, education and communication activities across the cloud community at Nordea
• Excellent understanding of best practice and cost optimization using FinOps frameworks or Cloud Financial Management
• Keep stakeholders informed, provide insights and suggested course of actions by leading Management meetings
• Understand the Nordea Cloud architecture framework in depth
• Collaborate with application teams, financial and billing teams to manage budgets, forecasts, etc.
• Ensure that projects adhere to quality standards, policies, regulations and processes
• Provide periodical financial analysis, reports, forecasts, and managemental reviews
• Managing day to day activities with the scrum masters, resolving risks and issues.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• Have 5+ years of leadership experience and a thorough understanding of cloud technologies.
• 2-3 years of experience in AWS (preferred), Azure or Google.
• 2+ years specific experience in Cloud FinOps
• Background in infrastructure with a knowledge of building applications.
• A good understanding of security concepts and banking regulations related to cloud.
• Worked in agile projects with scrum master experience.
• Understanding Infrastructure as Code and DevOps.
• Familiar with application development, worked with app teams in building applications.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Understand security, compliance and risks related to public cloud.
• Familiar with budgeting processes and able to manage investment and run spend.
• Preferably experience leading technical delivery or operational teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years total experience in IT or Finance
• 2+ years specific experience in Cloud FinOps

Preferred Qualifications:

• FinOps Certification
• Public Cloud Provider Certification(s)
