You will be identifying, advising and evaluating compliance risks with a focus on the product governance framework, as well as engaging in dialogue with the business concerning the handling of these.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Conduct, Advisory and Products Compliance team. We add value by ensuring the bank conducts business in accordance with applicable laws, rules, standards for conduct, and respect the principles of integrity and fair dealing at all times. As a Compliance/Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a valuable role in strengthening the focus on compliance. Areas of responsibility include, among other things, supporting the product governance framework in Nordea, advising business on management of risks and other matters related to product governance as well as ESG requirements. You will have the opportunity to get insight into a variety of initiatives across business areas, functions and countries. Our business is both local and Nordic!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying, describing and assessing compliance risks
  • Regulatory change assessments
  • Monitoring and testing of controls and activities
  • Interact closely with several stakeholders in Group Compliance and the business lines
  • Leading or participating in projects
  • Reporting assurance results, compliance risks and risk management

The role is based in any of the Nordic capitals. You'll join a strong, international team with colleagues across the Nordics who have widespread contact with stakeholders both locally and across the bank.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have a few years’ work experience, preferably from the financial sector. You also have experience within compliance, risk or legal
  • Have a high degree of integrity, are driven and easily take initiative
  • Are prepared to work in an environment with many changes and take responsibility for developing your own skills
  • Are known for your analytical thinking and structured approach with attention to detail
  • Find it easy to build relationships at all levels of a company, using strong communication skills
  • Have a very good understanding of investment products and the financial markets
  • Hold Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Have excellent English skills as well as fluency in any of the Nordic languages
