About our team and opportunity

 

We're seeking a collaborative professional to lead the data strategy for our AI Portfolio Delivery team at Nordea. You'll help design and derisk scalable AI solutions across multiple service areas and domains.

Main responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and catalog relevant data sources to enable critical AI programs across Nordea
  • Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders across service areas, business units, technology, product, and data teams
  • Collaborate closely with technology, data, and AI teams to create comprehensive data quality, lineage, sufficiency, and suitability profiles
  • Proactively derisk major AI programs by addressing data dependencies and quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with data regulations through pragmatic, commercially-focused approaches alongside compliance and risk stakeholders

 

Who you are

Your background and skills include:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong foundation in data and software fundamentals with proficiency in data and AI frameworks (lineage, drift, data ontologies)
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), particularly AI/ML and data services
  • Excellent knowledge of financial data ecosystems, including experience with data vendors such as Dun & Bradstreet, BBG, and alternative data sources
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams and ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive results without direct authority
  • Significant background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, or government)

 

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Deep interest in or experience with Generative AI and Machine Learning technologies 
  • Experience in agile environments or tech-driven transformation projects
  • Knowledge of agent testing methodologies, performance monitoring, and maintaining agent reliability in production environments
