We are looking for an Assistant Dealer or Dealer to join the Liquidity Management team within Group Treasury
About our team
The Liquidity Management team is often described as the heart of the bank, delivering cost-efficient and stable short term funding, including dealing/trading activities supporting the groups balance sheet and Nordea’s overall liquidity. We are managing the Groups day-to-day liquidity requirements efficiently and optimized, while ensuring regulatory and rating compliance. Our role is to keep business areas (BA’s) free of funding/market risk through funds transfer pricing (FTP) and support them actively with cost efficient funding, liquidity and business advisory. We are responsible for Nordea’s centralized liquidity management & related risk management. This includes interest rate risk in the banking book across currencies and legal entities, intra-day and operational liquidity as well as regulatory and internal liquidity risk metrics such as LCR and NSFR.
The Liquidity Management team is represented in all Nordic Capitals as well as New York and Shanghai. In Helsinki, the existing team consist of 6 team members, where we hereby are looking to expand the team with a top talent, ready to make a positive impact and help the team reach new goals.
The role is based in Helsinki. Due to the role’s requirements and trading activities, our workplace is solely based on the Nordea premises, at a dedicated area and there is no opportunity for remote work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the day-to-day liquidity, Central Bank activities, Foreign account management, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest rate (IR) related risk for the Nordea Group
- Secure diversified, stable and cost-efficient short term funding
- Advise Business Areas on funding & liquidity related questions/issues, thereby enabling support to Nordea and it’s customers
- Take an active part in analysing/developing the forward looking forecasting of loans, deposits and market outlook/development with a direct link to our financial activity/planning
- Manage Liquidity Metrics effectively (LCR, NSFR etc.)
- Develop the capabilities and efficiency of Group Treasury and Liquidity Management in terms of programming, automation and visualisation of data/processes

Your background and skills include:
- A Master’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, mathematics or economics
- Excellent English (Finnish is also considered a merit) language skills, both written and spoken
- Very good analytical skills, including knowledge of extracting and modelling of financial data
- A few years’ experience within relevant fields; bank liquidity, trading or funding is seen as a strong merit but not a prerequisite
- High competence in Excel, SQL, Python or other programming languages is seen as a prerequisite
