We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and talented Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer with sound governance, exceptional risk management prowess and excellent stakeholder care skills to spearhead the management and evolution of our mortgage operations, while managing the risks by combining regulatory and business competencies. The selected person will be covering both roles. This is permanent and full time position, job description is Leading Others.

What you’ll be doing:
- Work as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Nordea Mortgage Bank Plc (NMB) executing the operational oversight of the mortgage bank business
- Lead the high-performing COO Office team and the management and development of our market-leading mortgage bank business
- Stakeholder care management including effective senior management and Business Area communication, representing Nordea Mortgage Bank Plc in various local and Nordic committees and forums
- The implementation and elevation of strong governance, sound risk management framework and solid control environment in Nordea Mortgage Bank Plc in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures
- Manage, support, advice and provide forward looking view in governance, risk management and regulatory requirements

This is the right role for you if you:
- Have experience and proven track record on ability and passion to find or create solutions to complex problems
- Have excellent execution skills, being able to bring Nordea Mortgage Bank together to make the right priorities and deliver desired effects in accordance with rules and regulations
- Have professional level knowledge and skills of regulatory compliance, internal governance and risk management in general
- Display a proactive attitude towards learning and building expertise in core financial mechanisms, such as capital, liquidity, and funding
- Thrive in dynamic environments with fast-paced deliveries, multiple stakeholders, and changing requirements
- Have an analytical and fact-based approach driven by curiosity and creativity combined with an eagerness to increase your competencies in governance and risk management
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder care skills, enabling seamless navigation, communication, and collaboration across the value chain and throughout Nordea
Your background and skills include:
- At least 5 years of leadership experience from banking alongside a strong understanding of the business drivers for the consumer/home journey segment and how this creates value for the P&L
- Strong understanding and experience of working with risk, compliance and governance related topics, as well as understanding of interacting with the FIN FSA and/or ECB.
- Have a documented business-minded and result-oriented background, displaying high intellectual capacity and a high level of ambition who sees opportunities, even in complex and challenging situations
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English (professional level)
- A strong academic background in economics, finance, law or an equivalent field
