About this opportunity

 

Welcome to the Group CEO Office team. We add value by providing the CEO and the GLT with a wide range of analysis and support in order to be able to lead Nordea adequately, as well as executing on its extensive strategic and business agenda. As Executive Adviser, you’ll play a valuable role in contributing to the team effort and developing Nordea as a bank.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will work with analysing and critically reviewing a variety of dimensions in Nordea’s key strategic programmes, with a task to focus on some key technology programmes, e.g. core banking programmes.
  • You will have a functional leader role in supporting the execution of selected strategic technology programmes.
  • You are expected to ensure that Senior Leaders receive a fact-based oversight on the progress in some of the key technology programmes, preferably you have worked in an IT consultancy environment.
  • You are expected to be able to support, argument and communicate about data driven decisions.
  • You will ensure that the targets of strategic programmes are leading to execution and measurable results, including financial performance follow-up and benefit tracking.
  • You engage actively with various programme management teams and support them in valid and relevant reporting, leading to actions when issues have been identified.
  • You prepare presentations and reports of the key strategic projects to support steering of the programmes.
  • You will communicate with and influence the thinking of senior management and banking leaders, including GLT and BA leadership team members.

Your experience and background:  

  • Deep experience from technology and strategy development in particular, including large scale technology programmes.
  • The role can be tailored to the candidate’s experience, but around 6-10 years of relevant experience is expected from, e.g., top-tier management consultancies, similar roles in large companies, or similar, where cross-functional orchestration and stakeholder management is core component for success.
  • Advanced data analytics, analytics driven business development, or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in executive communication (both written, visual and oral), problem structuring, analytics and the ability to summarise complex stories into simple visuals and crisp wording are required.
  • The person should have a suitable education background such as M.Sc. in Engineering or in Economics showing keen interest in solving practical problems with analytical methods.
  • Fluency in English at professional level.
