We are now looking for an Expert IT Developer/Data Engineer to work with data engineering for Capital and Credit Data Foundation by developing data products that enable business processes with large financial and strategic impact. About our team
You will be part of the Credit Information capability Domain and be an essential part of the data engineering team responsible to support with solutions to ensure. We can support our Information Capability customer processes in line with the ECB regulation. We are working on redefining the capital and credit data foundation. As we are a growing team and modernizing our tech stack, you will have the chance to influence our culture and working tools and work together with other data engineers, architects, scrum masters, product managers and much more.
The role would be based in Finland and Gdańsk, Poland.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for optimizing data workflows, writing efficient scripting code e.g. bash, python and SQL, and manage both on prem and cloud-based hybrid infrastructure.
- Design, build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipeline
- Develop and optimize PLSQL queries and database objects for high performance data storage in Snowflake & Oracle
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and workflow automation
- Understand and have experience of database change management
- Integrate and manage modern data stack
- Monitor, debug and optimize data workflows and infrastructure performance
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with good practices.
Who you are
Your background and skills include:
- Computer Engineering, Engineering BSc, MSc , PhD in Computer Science or other relevant fields
- Proficient in designing OLAP system and using techniques like STAR schema, Snowflake Schema or denormalization.
- SQL & PLSQL Proficiency
- ELT/ETL development using GUI-based tool e.g. IBM Datastage, Snowflake
- Power BI both On Prem and cloud exposure
- Database Management, Snowflake, Oracle, MSSQL,
- DevOps & CI/CD understanding of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipeline development tool e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo
- Understanding of test automation e.g. Robot, Selenium and understand the different test scenarios
- Understanding version control technique Git, GitHub, GitLab
Nice to have but not mandatory:
- Streaming & Batch processing knowledge involving Kafka
- Distributed and parallel Computing solution e.g. Spark, Flink or Dask.
