This is an opportunity for you to make a difference in shaping the future of Nordea’s financial anti crime landscape as part of the Financial Crime Prevention Architecture team in Group Architecture. We are now looking for an Expert IT Architect to provide architectural support and guidance within this area that is of critical importance to the bank and currently executing some very large and exciting change initiatives.
About this opportunity
Welcome to the Financial Crime Prevention Architecture team. Our key focus is to support financial crime prevention change initiatives to deliver group common IT solutions that align with the Nordea business and IT strategy and that meet both short and long term expectations. We design our solutions using modern architectural patterns and state-of-the-art technology, all from selecting and integrating external standard solutions to developing or adapting custom solutions. We are looking for an experienced solution architect with an agile mindset who will take responsibility for the design of a range of solutions supporting financial crime prevention processes for the bank. As the Expert IT Architect, you’ll play a valuable role in proactively driving the creation of the IT architecture needed to support a very complex and fascinating area of the financial services industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide architecture solution design and architectural leadership that includes creation of content relating to business, application, data, process and technology architecture viewpoints
- Provide architectural leadership for agile release trains and projects in the area. This includes the ability to facilitate collecting and validating business requirements together with relevant stakeholders
- Take an active role in developing transition and target architectures that provide explicit guidance and steering for the area
- Educate and assist stakeholders with Group Architecture’s governance framework and associated processes
- Collaboratw closely with stakeholders, other architects and members of design team
- Provide support and guidance to developers and other team members as needed. You’ll join a team of experienced architects that has a central role in providing architecture support in a very important area for the bank

- Fluent in English and having excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present a solution design to different audiences

Your experience and background:
- 5+ years of related work experience in the area of solution architecture
- Demonstrated ability to drive development of target and transition architectures and to craft fit-for-purpose solution design content that provides explicit guidance for agile transformation initiatives
- Proficient with business analysis, software engineering, integration and orchestration, technical solution design, and risk and quality management
- Practical experience with microservices-based architectures
- Previous work experience in data architecture, including big data technology and related toolchain (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
- Experienced with integration architecture and common enterprise application patterns to support batch, real-time and near-real-time data integration, and related integration technologies
- Prior experience in full-service banking, e.g. from the Financial Crime Prevention area or across lines of business i.e. Retail, Wholesale, Institutional, Wealth and Insurance
