We serve as Finance Business Partners in the management teams in Nordea Finance and based on our financial competences and insights, as well as business knowledge and understanding, we support and challenge performance in collaboration with our stakeholders to drive future performance and value creation.

Nordea Finance is the largest leasing company in the Nordics with EUR 20bn in credit volume, serving our customers and partners by providing access to financing of assets such as equipment and cars, but also allowing them to optimise their own balance sheet with receivables finance products.

In the finance team, we play a crucial role in making Nordea Finance successful and have embarked on a journey to take the management of the financial performance to the next level.

We are now looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner who can partner with members of the Nordea Finance leadership team to drive value creation through insight and engagement based on robust financial information and forward looking perspectives to steer towards financial targets.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the NF CFO team. We add value by acting as a strategic and commercial partner to the leadership team in Nordea Finance. You will proactively challenge status quo, drive business development and implement a finance strategy in line with the Group strategy and changing customer needs.

As Strategic Finance Business Partner in Nordea Finance you’ll lead and manage the financial performance of a part of Nordea Finance in close and proactive partnership with the leadership team, optimising business performance and ensuring adequate analysis to support key decision making in line with revenue, cost, capital consumption and profitability targets. This involves defining and securing improved ways for the frontline, Nordea Finance management and the bank partners to access the financial information they need to make the right business decisions. You will play a key role in driving the financial planning, capital consumption and performance discussions also with a forward-looking focus to ensure a strong financial perspective in the dictational choices of the business.

What you’ll do:

• Be the ‘go to’ person and strategic partner to a member of the Nordea Finance leadership team, partnering in improving financial results anchored in business plans with clear financial outcomes and challenging status quo
• Maintain a constant watch over the financial performance of Nordea Finance, ensuring a granular understanding of all P&L-, balance sheet-, capital- and liquidity aspects of the business
• Ensure financial steering by analysing and secure financial performance to meet the plans and timely adjustments of plans
• Identify, challenge and drive execution of performance improvements
• Drive the setting of financial targets, the forecasting process and the follow-up
• Secure a common, compliant and simple financial process
• Have a high degree of interaction and cooperation with many stakeholders on various levels of the organisation – and building a positive and trusting relationship with them

You’ll join the Nordea Finance CFO team in the Business Banking CFO team in Group Finance – and facilitate the finance value chain that supports financial management in Nordea Finance. The role is based in Oslo, Stockholm or Helsinki.

Your experience and background: 

• 5 to 10 years years of relevant work experience
• Experience in working with Business Control/ Performance Analysis and knowledge of Nordea’s financial systems and tools
