Helsinki, FI, 00500

Job ID: 5991

Help us build the future of digital asset finance across customer-facing services and supporting platforms.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer who is comfortable working across modern front-end applications and Java-based back-end services.

About our team

Meet the Asset Finance Solutions team. Our role is to develop and maintain digital services for Nordea Finance customers across multiple channels, supporting car and equipment finance. You will work in a skilled, international environment and contribute to solutions that support car and equipment finance.

You will be part of a Scrum team based in Helsinki, working closely with developers, product managers, architects and other stakeholders. We coach, support and challenge each other, share knowledge and continuously improve the way we deliver software.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Shape practical software solutions in collaboration with development teams and product managers
  • Design, build and maintain client-side and server-side applications, including accessible and responsive user interfaces
  • Develop APIs, microservices, databases, and integrations that are well-functioning and reliable
  • Write automated tests and contribute to reliable CI/CD pipelines, participating in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Take ownership from idea and implementation through deployment and ongoing maintenance

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you enjoy solving problems across the technology stack, communicating openly, and building solutions that are secure, reliable, and easy to use. You thrive in collaborative environments, take ownership of your work, and are passionate about delivering quality software.

Your background and skills include:

  • Solid professional software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices
  • Experience writing unit tests and delivering testable, maintainable code
  • Working knowledge of Git, Kubernetes, and Jenkins-based CI/CD
  • Understanding of databases and web application architecture
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an agile, cross-functional team
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

It would be ideal if you also have:

  • Approximately five or more years of software development experience
  • Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
  • Experience with Cypress or other end-to-end testing tools
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA and experience building accessible web applications
  • Experience using component libraries or design systems to create modular user interfaces
  • Experience in financial services, asset finance, or other regulated environments
  • A relevant degree or have equivalent practical experience

What we offer

You will have the opportunity to work on meaningful digital services in a supportive and international team. The role offers broad technical scope, close collaboration with business stakeholders, and room to grow across both front-end and back-end development.
