About our team
Meet the AI Engineering team. Our role is to deliver the infrastructure and enable cutting-edge AI solutions across the entire Nordea organization through our centralized AI platform that powers both generative AI and machine learning at scale. With that we enable business to build their AI use cases and deliver value to our customers.
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you have a passion for building scalable AI infrastructure and can transform ideas into concrete, production-ready solutions. You value collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, and have curiosity for emerging AI technologies.
This role is based in Finland and Poland.
Your background and skills include:
- Strong software and cloud engineering skills with solid understanding of CI/CD practices
- Experience building and deploying ML/AI systems in production environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (F.x. SageMaker, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Glue, VPC, Athena)
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools including Terraform, Docker, and Python
- Knowledge of pipeline orchestration tools (SageMaker Pipelines, Jenkins, Step Functions, Apache Airflow)
- Understanding of modern data platforms and tools (Kafka, Snowflake, Spark, or similar)
- Possess experience working in cross-functional teams collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrate a mindset of ownership and passion for clean architecture and building things that scale
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Develop cloud-based AI solutions using AWS platforms including SageMaker, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and S3
- Design and implement secure, scalable ML infrastructure that can be reused across the organization
- Build and maintain MLOps infrastructure for automated model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management at scale
- Manage data governance, security, and multi-tenant data sharing architectures
- Create clean architecture and automation solutions for enterprise-scale AI systems
- Collaborate with data scientists, architects and business stakeholders in cross-functional teams
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have experience with data governance and monitoring tools (CloudTrail, Glue, Lake Formation, DataZone, CloudWatch)
- Understand AWS security practices including IAM roles, policies, and KMS key management
- Can design data perimeters and multi-tenant data sharing architectures
