About this opportunity

We are looking for two IT Test Managers experienced in multinational large-scale agile projects. As the IT Test Manager, you will define and implement the Test Strategy for the initiatives in co-operation with different stakeholders within the program and on Nordea level.
 

As the IT Test Manager you will be accountable for:

  • Defining and implementing an efficient test strategy and get alignment with both IT and business stakeholders  
  • Planning and managing effective testing and QA activities covering several Agile Release Trains
  • Ensuring the resources are secured for QA and testing in both IT and Business
  • Coordinating E2E, UAT and External testing – in cooperation with integrating systems
  • Implementing an effective test metrics and reporting process
  • Supporting peers and stakeholders both strategically and on operative level
  • Securing compliance to Nordea standards and utilization of Nordea frameworks
  • Representing Nordea QA in external committees and be the contact point for external bank testing
  • Defining and implementing test strategy for projects and programmes 
  • Creating Solution level Test plan for complex releases and driving implementation of that   
  • Reviewing requirements from testability point of view
  • Gathering test environment requirements
  • Ensuring that required test data and environments are available for testing at all phases of the life cycle
  • Providing clear visibility to quality of deliverables and proactively engage with all stakeholders on the status of the quality of the release

 

The role is based in Helsinki.

Your experience and background:   

  • 3+ year Test Manager experience with complex systems and large-scale international programs
  • B.Sc./ M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
  • Experience working with Test Management tools (i.e. qTest , HP ALM)
  • Experience working with issue tracking tools (i.e. JIRA)
  • Experience in leading testing in very complex integration landscape
  • Expert manager of people, strong relationship building skills and recognized as a leader of people
  • Technical – able to communicate with development teams, architects, test environment people to define E2E testing scope and test environments to be used for testing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

 

Nice to have:   

  • ISTQB foundation level knowledge
  • Experience in working in Agile / Scrum / SAFE 
  • Strong Banking domain understanding. Understanding of banking architecture (Batch runs, multiple integration technologies etc.)
  • Experience from complex migration project
  • Basic experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins/Bamboo/Docker)  
  • Experience in payment flows, like: SEPA payments, Cross Border payments
  • Experience on Cards management and Card usage flows like Authorizations, Bookings, Financial
  • “Hands-On” experience
