Java Developer (permanent position)

We are looking for a back-end developer to join our team with a full-time employment agreement, where you'll play a key part in building a better finance company and helping our customers reach their goals.

About our team

You'll join Asset Finance Solutions where we are responsible for the digital services offered to Nordea Finance's corporate and consumer customers, in multiple channels.

Working with skilled, international teams in a fast-paced and inspiring working environment, you'll be a key player in our digital transformation. In our rapidly changing environment you'll have plenty of opportunities to learn and you will be empowered to make decisions in your daily work with the newest technologies. We are building international scrum teams consisting of front-end, back-end and full-stack developers that will work together with architects and product owners within our SAFe Agile Release Train.

Main responsibilities in this role: 

• Taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of application development: Requirement Gathering, Design and Development, Testing, Debugging
• Working on integrations, utilizing middle-tier frameworks
• Cooperating with business to gather expectations
• Testing, both manual and automated
• Reviewing code regularly and initiating needed improvements and refactoring
• Investing in CI/CD platform and configurations and performing technical release tasks
• Maintaining technical documentation

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you have good communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable way, willingness to take responsibility, are goal-oriented with a proven track record of delivering results, and enjoy interacting with other people.

Your background and skills include: 

• 5+ years of experience as a back-end developer
• Knowledge and experience in Java, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, REST, SOAP based integrations
• Knowledge of Microservices development
• Good English, both spoken and written

It would be ideal if you also have:

• Knowledge and ability to use Clean Code principles
• Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
• Experience with Kubernetes container deployment and familiarity with tools like Maven, Bamboo, GIT, Jira
