We are looking for several talents to play a key role in shaping Nordea’s Technology strategy and AI. This is an opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment in the center of Nordea’s AI development and implementation.

About our team

 

Group Technology Strategy and AI is responsible for development and execution of Nordea’s technology strategy, and is a Center of Excellence for AI Nordea’s AI value creation and execution.

 

We are looking for 5 bright minds to join the team with the following focus areas: AI strategy, transformation and portfolio management. Role requirements differ a bit depending on your previous experience. Job title either Junior Strategic Advisor, Senior Strategic Advisor or Strategic Partner.

 

This is an opportunity to join an exceptional team that works on a topic that matters for the strongest bank in the Nordics. This role offers a steep learning curve in a team working work closely with Nordea’s key people in Technology, Business and Functions. You’ll be part of a team that defines Nordea’s technology and AI strategy and ambition and drives and delivers the implementation together with key stakeholders.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Our team has wide agenda in the development and deployment of AI. The exact role will depend on person’s skills, experience and interests. Some examples of work include:

  • Strategic analysis & planning: Support the development, refinement and execution of Nordea’s AI and technology strategy.
  • Strategic Initiatives development: Contribute to the design, scoping, and follow-up of high-impact AI initiatives, supporting senior leaders in execution and tracking progress.
  • Business Areas and Group Functions AI transformation support: Collaborate with Business Area, Group Function, and Technology teams to guide them with their AI strategy, portfolio, and AI initiative development.
  • AI discovery and prioritization: Organize and facilitate workshops to identify, refine, quantify and prioritize AI opportunities.  
  • AI portfolio management: Manage portfolio of AI initiatives, run process of new use case intake and qualification, and develop portfolio management methods and tools.
  • Strategy execution and performance follow-up: Build analytical frameworks and translate strategy into concrete execution objectives, milestones, and KPIs to track the success of strategic initiatives, and identify areas for adjustment or acceleration.
  • Cross-functional coordination & support: Work across multiple stakeholders to align priorities, dependencies and course corrections.
  • Executive communication: Develop materials for strategic discussions and decision-making, including presentations to the Business and Technology leadership and Group Leadership Team.

 

You will work in an experienced and ambitious team with backgrounds from top-tier consultancies and leading Nordic corporates, providing exposure, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow rapidly as a professional. The role can be based in Helsinki, Tri-City or Warsaw.

Your background and skills include:

  • (Technical) consulting background with demonstrated experience advising on strategy, technology, AI, or transformation topics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to structure complex problems, apply hypothesis‑driven thinking, and translate analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to develop concise, insightful materials and summarize complex topics for senior stakeholders.
  • Structured and organized way of working, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and rigor in execution.
  • Influencing skills, with the ability to guide senior stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills, comfortable engaging across Business Areas, Group Functions, and Technology teams to support AI strategy and transformation related initiatives.
  • Fluency in English; Nordic languages are considered a plus.

 

For junior profile, it is ideal if you also: 

  • Have familiarity with Financial Services and/or AI, including understanding of digital business models and practical knowledge of GenAI foundations and responsible AI basics.
  • Are interested in deepening AI & technology literacy, even if not possessing deep technical expertise.

 

For senior profile, we expect that you:

  • Have strategic planning and execution experience, preferably gained from top‑tier consultancies, technology companies, financial institutions, or leading multinational organisations (6–10 years of experience depending on seniority). 
  • Are comfortable working with senior stakeholders in complex environments, leading your own areas of responsibility, and driving cross‑functional collaboration. 
  • Have exposure to technology‑driven or AI‑driven transformation, including experience supporting large‑scale change programmes or strategy execution.
