About this opportunity
 
Welcome to the Payments and Cash Management Development team! To strengthen our team we are looking for experienced developer who has skills to do the hands-on development work and who also sees and understands other aspects of software development: Are we making solid architectural decisions? Are we able to improve our tech stack? Should we upgrade our software versions? Are we focusing on right things?

 

We need a lead/expert level developer in Nordea´s Payment Hub´s area. Payment Data Agile release train´s purpose is to consolidate and harmonize Payments Data production, sourcing, storing and distribution of Payments Data to consumers in Nordea and to customers. Train follows SAFe agile framework and Development teams are located in several different countries. 

 

Your main responsibilities will be around the development of new payments services and solutions as well as integrations supporting different EndToEnd payment flows in Nordea´s target payment architecture. 
 
What you’ll be doing:

  • Working as an Expert Java developer in Nordea´s Payments area
  • Leading the way and supporting other developers in the Payments area
  • Contributing to solution architecture, design and maintainability of applications
  • Supporting management by making sure in Payments area using right tools, technologies and processes that support development work

 
The role is based in Helsinki, Warsaw or Gdansk.

  • Know how to lead and coach other developers, have good communication skills and feel comfortable working with different stakeholders

 
Your experience and background: 

  • At least 7 years of Java Software Development
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of Spring framework, Spring boot, Kafka and SQL
  • Practical knowledge of practices like Domain driven design, Event sourcing architecture patterns, microservices architecture and clean code.
  • Very useful to have knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Maven and JUnit and also to have experience building distributed, highly available and high throughput applications
  • Nice to have knowledge of software security, TDD, HBase on Hadoop, Angular and Javascript
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
