Platform Owner - Core Infrastructure (permanent position)

Helsinki, FI, 00500

Job ID: 3344

Welcome to Group Technology, where we pride ourselves on engineering solutions and direct Nordea’s transformation by providing a holistic technological view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment to enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled senior Platform Owner to lead the strategic ownership and transformation of our critical infrastructure platforms including Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, and DNS services, driving operational excellence while ensuring full compliance and risk management across our core technology foundation.

Nordea is a place where traditions meet tomorrow. We're not just a bank, we're a tech employer on a mission to evolve finance securely and responsibly. Together, we impact millions of people’s daily lives by ensuring they can access our solutions anytime, anywhere, while safeguarding their personal data and wealth. Join us in making an impact on the banking industry.

About our team

Meet the Core Services team. We operate as an integrated team where our team members combine Platform Owner responsibilities, Application Provider duties, and deep technical SME expertise to deliver and maintain foundational infrastructure services, ensuring our customers can safely access our banking services 24/7. Our team is geographically spread across the Nordics and Poland, and we rely on a high level of daily virtual collaboration as one of our core ways of working.

What you'll be doing

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Platform Strategy Leadership: Define platform vision, strategy, and roadmaps for all Core Services platforms (Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, DNS/DHCP) while managing stakeholder requirements and engineering backlogs
  • Compliance & Risk Ownership: Maintain full accountability for compliance management, risk oversight, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence across all platform services
  • Financial & Capacity Management: Manage platform financial planning, capacity management, and cost optimization while ensuring sustainable platform operations
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with Platform tenants, Service Domain leads, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery
  • Operational Excellence: Support complex operational situations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality platform operations meeting agreed service levels

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you are:

  • Technical leader with business sense: You understand both the technical details and how they impact the business, and you can translate between the two worlds
  • Comfortable with compliance and audits: You don't get stressed by regulatory requirements and audit processes - you see them as part of getting the job done right
  • Good at working with different teams: You can build relationships across the organization and get things done through collaboration rather than authority
  • Focused on getting results: You prioritize well, follow through on commitments, and adapt when priorities shift

Your background and skills include:

  • Core Infrastructure Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and DNS/DHCP services in enterprise environments
  • Platform Ownership Experience: Proven track record in platform strategy, roadmap development, and end-to-end platform lifecycle management
  • Risk & Compliance Mastery: Strong experience with risk management frameworks, compliance processes, and regulatory requirements in complex organizations
  • Financial & Business Understanding: Understanding of financial processes, budgeting, and total cost of ownership optimization
  • Communication Excellence: Fluent in English with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Financial Services Background: Experience in banking or highly regulated industries with understanding of critical infrastructure requirements
  • Agile Transformation Experience: Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks and modern IT operating models
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Experience managing strategic technology partnerships and outsourcing relationships
