Product Owner - AI Platforms & Cloud
Helsinki, FI, 500 Gdynia, PL, 81-537 Gdańsk, PL, 80-309
Job ID: 31719
Welcome to Core Technology, where we pride ourselves on engineering solutions and platforms with a direct impact to Nordea´s 2030 strategy goals to modernize our data technology state and accelerate AI across the organization.
We are looking for an AI & Cloud Platform product owner to join our Data-AI-Integration team. You will join a small, agile team with a mandate to drive impact across Nordea. Your success after one year means we have a robust, reusable platform with happy internal customers running in production.
About our team
Welcome to the Data-AI-Integration team. We are building the next-generation AI backbone for Nordea. This is not a maintenance role; you will lead the vision and roadmap for a centralized, opinionated AI Platform that balances rapid delivery with banking-grade security. Your mission is to ensure that predictive and generative AI use cases move from concept to production safely and efficiently—by shaping the product strategy and aligning stakeholders across the organization.
This is a fulltime permanent position with a hybrid working location in either Helsinki, Finland, or Gdansk / Gdynia, Poland.
What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Setting the direction for an “opinionated” AI platform that standardizes how we deliver AI solutions. Balance developer freedom with governance and compliance
- From AWS SageMaker and Bedrock to AgentCore, ensure our platform supports cutting-edge generative and predictive AI workflows, and own the roadmap for services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure that meet the demands of a highly regulated industry
- Bridge business needs and technical realities—collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and security teams to deliver value and help foster a product-driven mindset and mentor others on best practices
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects business priorities and technical dependencies and translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
- Continuously prioritize features and tasks to maximize business value and platform scalability and collaborate with the engineering team to plan sprints, clarify requirements, and ensure timely delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing transparency on progress, risks, and timelines
- Use metrics and feedback to iterate on the product roadmap and improve platform adoption
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- understand modern cloud-native architectures and AI/ML platforms. You can speak confidently about AWS services, infrastructure as code, and data pipelines.
- know how to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and prioritize features that matter
- have the soft skills to collaborate across functions—speaking “Data Science” to modelers and “Security” to CISOs
- have a genuine interest in AI trends (LLMs, agentic workflows) and know how to apply them pragmatically.
Your background and skills include:
- MSc or PHD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience from working as a Platform Owner, Technical Product Owner or similar role
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare and drive presentations in multiple stakeholders meetings incl. clear alignment with C-level executives
- Experience working with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP), especially their serverless, generative AI (e.g., AWS Bedrock), ML (e.g., AWS SageMaker), or data storage services as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong expertise in product management concepts, establishing product vision and roadmap, manage backlog of upgrades and plan sprints based on agile principles
- Experience working in a DevOps environment with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, container orchestration such as Kubernetes, and Shell scripting
- Skilled at transforming complex ideas into clear, engaging explanations—whether you're presenting to a technical team or breaking things down for non-experts
- Strong execution skills and problem-solving ability with a collaborative and goal-oriented mindset
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have professional experience from working in regulated industries, i.e. Banking, Government, etc.
