We are now looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join our AI, Analytics and Automation unit. The role is based in Kaisaniemi, Helsinki. You’ll join the team with fellow data scientists, data analysts, software developer and DevOps engineer.
As a Senior AI Platform Engineer you’ll play a valuable role in designing and implementing infrastructure that makes AI solutions operational.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and build AI/ML infrastructure in hybrid environments (AWS cloud and on-premises Kubernetes)
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and deployment automation
- Implement MLOps practices including LLM model serving (vLLM), monitoring, and logging
- Create integration patterns and APIs that enable business teams to consume AI services
- Ensure security and compliance for AI workloads in a regulated environment
- Work closely with AI engineers, software developers, architects and DevOps
- Bridge AWS managed services and on-premises open-source solutions
- Take ownership of technical decisions within your domain
Our tech stack mainly is open-source first and consists of Python, SQL, Bash, AWS, vLLM, Docker, Ansible, Podman, Jenkins, Bitbucket and Terraform.

We are looking for:
- Solid AWS experience (especially EC2 and Sagemaker)
- Familiarity with AI or ML solution deployment requirements on AWS cloud
- Proficient with Terraform, Python and Docker
- Experience with deployment in isolated and air-gapped environments
- Hands-on experience with modern DevOps or MLOps best practices and tools
- Solid experience with Linux and Kubernetes
- Awareness of data privacy, GDPR, security and ethical considerations when handling sensitive data with AI solutions
- Fluent in English and capability to handle work-related discussions with business stakeholders in Finnish
- Education background: Master’s or PhD in a related field
It would be beneficial, you know/have:
- Prior experience with medical, health or insurance domain
- Experience with open-source agent frameworks (OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, LangGraph), or with function calling and tool use.
- Knowledge of self-hosting LLMs, including performance tuning, caching, and cost optimization
- Hands-on experience with vLLM for model serving.
