We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer(Multi Cloud) to join our dynamic team. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive hands-on experience across at least two major cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in enterprise-scale cloud architecture with strong leadership capabilities in incident management and stakeholder engagement.

About our team

 

We are the Cloud Platform Team at Nordea, a dedicated group of cloud specialists responsible for managing and evolving our enterprise cloud platforms. We work closely with application teams throughout their cloud journey, from initial onboarding to full migration and optimization. As stewards of Nordea's multi-cloud strategy, we ensure that our AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure environments meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and operational excellence required in the banking industry. 

 

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Develop and maintain landing zone infrastructure as code using Terraform, implement configuration management with Ansible, and create automation scripts using Python and Bash for landing zone provisioning and management
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions for landing zone deployments, establish automated testing frameworks for landing zone components, and drive DevOps culture across landing zone teams
  • Design complex multi-cloud landing zone networking architectures including foundational VPCs, subnets, security groups, and hybrid connectivity solutions (VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute) for enterprise workload onboarding
  • Configure load balancers, traffic management solutions, implement network security controls, and optimize performance across multi-cloud environments
  • Establish cloud governance frameworks and best practices, lead cloud migration strategies and hybrid implementations, ensure compliance with security standards
  • Lead P1/P2 incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and develop incident response procedures

 

Who you are

 

Your background and skills include:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with at least two of the following cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
  • Proven experience implementing enterprise-level landing zones across multiple cloud platforms
  • Expert-level proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Advanced skills in Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • Strong programming capabilities in Python and Bash scripting
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid connectivity solutions

 

It would be ideal if you also: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Professional cloud certifications (GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • ITIL certification or similar service management framework knowledge
  • Experience in agile development methodologies
