We are looking for a for a Senior Communication Partner to join our communications team in Finland.  

 

About our team

 

Meet the Communication Finland team in Nordea’s Group Brand, Communication and Marketing unit. Our role is to add value by strengthening and protecting Nordea’s reputation and brand in the Finnish market. Our team is responsible for external and internal communications, media relations and social media. In this role, you will be part of a team that pursues a reputation plan in Finland to help strengthen the Nordea brand and build thought leadership. You will be responsible for planning and executing communication and media outreach on various topics.

 

The role is based in the Nordea headquarters in Vallila, Helsinki.

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Proactively drive, plan and execute communication towards media with a 360 mindset that supports building Nordea’s thought leadership in Finland 
  • Work in close collaboration with senior management and other internal stakeholders  
  • Support, advise and media train Nordea’s spokespersons 
  • Produce content for various channels, including internal channels and social media 
  • Handle reactive media inquiries and execute crisis communication 
  • Advise on content related to speaker engagements and conference presentations

  • Have experience in different areas of communications and in working with the Finnish media 
  • Have a proven track record of planning and executing successful communication efforts in larger corporate settings  
  • Have the ability to navigate a large pan-Nordic organisation 
  • Are detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Are proactive and confident in working independently on projects   

 

Your background and skills include:

  • At least five years of work experience in corporate communications 
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, or another relevant field  
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, both in Finnish and in English

 

It would be ideal if you also: 

  • A background in journalism and/or experience in working within the financial sector is an asset but not a requirement
