About this opportunity

 

Group Function Advisory Compliance team within Group Functions Compliance, supports most of the Group Functions units in Nordea. We add value by supporting and challenging the first line of defence units in compliance-related matters and by performing risk assessments.

 

As the Senior Compliance Officer you'll be driving and developing your area of responsibility in Group Functions Advisory Compliance working closely together with colleagues and stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while ensuring oversight of the compliance risks and providing advices to stakeholders.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively advise, challenge and support senior management, with the aim to manage compliance risks within your dedicated area
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations in the Nordic markets to ensure correct and appropriate advice
  • Perform compliance risk management activities in accordance with our Compliance Risk Management Framework
  • Support key stakeholders in risk identification and mitigating actions
  • Providing training on related compliance topics


You’ll join a well-functioning team of 5 highly skilled compliance officers. The role can be based in Warsaw in Poland, Copenhagen in Denmark, Stockholm in Sweden, or Helsinki in Finland.

  • Have a good understanding of the regulatory requirements
  • Have superior communication skills in the English language, also in writing
  • Have good understanding of supervisory guidance
  • Have the ability to analyse complex regulatory requirements and implement them into existing governance, frameworks and processes
  • Work independently, take initiative and full ownership of your work
  • Are structured, analytical and have a high degree of integrity
  • Are true team player with an open, curious and considered mindset.


Your experience and background:

  • A track record of advisory towards senior stakeholders and regulators
  • At least 4 years of experience from a compliance function or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of risk management and its requirements
  • Master's degree in Law
  • Fluency in English
