About our team

 

We are part of the Sanctions Management Service Domain in Technology, focusing on Financial Crime Prevention. Our work spans a complex IT landscape, handling large data volumes in extensive agile programs. We add value by understanding our stakeholders' needs and helping them create innovative and fit-for-purpose solutions through engineering and system design. Our development activities involve a broad spectrum of regulatory solutions, as well as implementing screening platforms, automating sanctions list updates, and integrating compliance monitoring tools.

 

We collaborate closely with colleagues in virtual agile teams across the Nordics, Poland, and India. At Nordea, our diverse team hails from over 100 countries and speaks more than 20 languages. We are now looking for the Senior IT Developer to join our Sanctions Management unit in Financial Crime Prevention Technology. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a team player, who is committed to working together with us to fight financial crime

  • Enjoys taking on different roles (developer, it and business analyst, etc.)
  • Has an open mind, a willingness to grow, and a passion for facing challenges
  • Is flexible and supportive, caring for the Team and ready to lend a hand when needed
  • Is Self-motivated and driven to take ownership of tasks and projects

 

Needed qualifications and skills:

  • Previous software development experience
  • Experience with NetReveal product (or similar)
  • Experience with GIT, JIRA, Confluence & Bitbucket
  • Willingness to work with COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) products, like to modify product configuration files (xml, text)
  • Experience of Linux/Unix including operational knowledge of (e.g. writing scripts)
  • Experience using WinSCP or similar tools to transfer files from Windows to Unix servers
  • Ability to analyse requirements and communicate with relevant stakeholders also outside the Agile Team
  • Experience working in Agile setups (SAFe certified ideally)

 

Also desired experience/skills:

  • Programming languages experience (Java preferable)
  • DB2 or Oracle experience
  • Ability to write SQL statements
  • Ability to understand existing shell scripts and modify them when needed
  • Experience using mainframe terminal
  • Willingness to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Eagerness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of next generation Financial Crime Prevention / Sanctions Management  Applications
  • Understanding of AI solutions
