We are looking for a senior IT developer to a full-time position in Data & Analytics Development, within Nordea Finance IT & Data Management.

Meet the Data & Analytics Development team. Our role in Nordea Finance is to develop user-friendly and scalable solutions in the area of ​​data & analytics for all the Nordic countries. Our team consists of highly skilled hands-on individuals based in Finland and Denmark who work well together, offering support, effective collaboration and solid ownership of our tasks and solutions.

What you’ll be doing

 

Data & Analytics is an area which plays an ever-growing role in everything we do in Nordea Finance.  You will be a significant part of enabling us to create the best possible, easy-to-use and scalable solutions for the long term, thus implementing our strategy efficiently and sustainably.

 

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Hands-on development: design and code robust, well-tested and clean solutions using latest tools and technology
  • Collaborate closely with our key stakeholders: product owners, business experts, IT Analysts, other developers, testers and Scrum Masters
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve technical challenges in current applications
  • Take ownership and share knowledge around you
  • Participate actively in relevant SAFe ceremonies and team events

 

Role will also include vulnerability fixing and occasional collaboration with vendors of legacy applications.

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you have strong experience working in the field of data, analytics & reporting, and have previously worked with SAS reporting solutions. You have at least 5 years of experience as a developer in large scale enterprises and you thrive in a dynamic role on a complex field. You have an ability to adapt fast and to take ownership of challenges by actively seeking answers for unresolved questions and problems. You have a sense of humour and enjoy working in a multinational environment.

 

Your background and skills include: 

  • 5+ years of coding experience in data, analytics & reporting area
  • Good knowledge of SAS reporting solutions (Data Integration Studio)
  • Firm grasp of agile methodologies (SAFe) and lean principles
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Academic IT degree

It would be ideal if you also: 

  • Have experience in Power BI reporting and file-based integrations
  • Have previously collaborated with external system vendors
  • Have worked with legacy systems and vulnerability fixing
